If hot work mould steel is required, the upper and lower moulds and positions should be temperature controlled.

For all transport waterways, it is recommended that non-electric dipped nickel or 420 stainless steel be used as the template. This prevents rusting and removes waste.

Inner moulds of heat resistant mould steel with glue bits should be seen hardened to a minimum of 48 to 52 HRC and the rest of the useful parts should be treated similarly.

The use of straight or angled body locks is recommended.
