There are 5 sub-categories of common pre-hardened plastic mould steel, high quality pre-hardened plastic mould steel, high hardness pre-hardened plastic mould steel, anti-corrosion mirror pre-hardened plastic mould steel and anti-corrosion mirror pre-hardened plastic mould steel.
The mould category is divided into the following categories according to the US SPI-SPE standard.
