Hot continuous casting die steel.

Hot rolled mould steels are divided into two types: hot rolled mould steels and ultra-high temperature alloys.

As hot-rolled moulds work under temperature conditions, the material is required to have high thermal strength and heat resistance. In order to ensure the cooling life of the mould, the alternating hot and cold moulds will crack, i.e. thermal fatigue cracking, so the material is required to have crack resistance and thermal fatigue resistance.

Non-standard hot work mould steel:6H4 thermoplastic mould age-hardening type.

A selection of the main series of materials arranged according to their thermal strength:

(6G, 6F2, 6F3) Low alloy tempered die steel (H11, H12, H13) Chrome hot as die steel (H21, H22) Tungsten hot as die steel.

When H11, H12, H13 thermal wear does not meet the requirements, 6H1, 6H2 can be selected.

D2, D4→M2, M4→Powder steel can be chosen when thermal wear resistance of moulds is required. Steel structure cemented carbide, cobalt-based cemented carbide has high high temperature wear resistance, but its thermal fatigue performance (i.e. cold and hot fatigue crack resistance) is poor and should not be used under rapid cold and hot conditions.
