Cryogenic mould steels.
Cold work hot work mould steels are divided into five groups:group w, group o, group a, group d and group s.
Group w is water quenched as die steel, a total of 11 types of steel, 7 carbon die steel, carbon content of 0.7% - 1.3%.
Group o is oil quenched as die steel (commonly known as oil steel) with 4 steel grades and a carbon content of 0.85%-1.55%
Group A is air quenched medium alloyed refrigeration die steel, with 9 steel grades and a carbon content of 0.5%-2.25%.
Group D is a refrigeration die steel with a carbon content of 0.9%-2.5% in 7 steel grades.
Group S- is a 7-grain impact resistant tool steel with a carbon content of 0.4% - 0.6%.
Also available are high-speed steels (group HSS) and super-high-speed steels (group SHSS) for refrigeration moulds, cobalt-based and steel-jointed carbides (group HA), powder steels and engineering ceramics (group PIM), tungsten carbide tool steels (group F) and specialised tool steels (group L).
